The Pitch Document

These are the sections that will be in our Pitch Document:

1. Pitch document (AKA the sell sheet) - This gives a brief outline of the concept (one or two paragraphs) followed by the key business information (cost, completion date, team, target market, formats, languages and contact details). This document is the vanguard of our attack on the clients wallet and it targets the non-development segment of our audience - ie Alan.

2. Design document - This provides complete design information for those who want it. The audience for this document will be the clients development staff - ie. Rob. They will be expected to render an opinion as to the quality of your design for the non-development members of the audience.

3. A Budget - Detailed breakdown of the budget for the project, you will need to show how you intend to spend their money.

5. Competitive Analysis - This is a review of the existing products ours will be competing with. This document helps to show that we understand the genre we are targeting and that we have examined the competition thoroughly. The document should give a brief overview of each competing site, review scores, sales figures and key features of each site.

6. Development Team - A brief document describing our company/team, our plans for the company and the teams previous experience

more about hosting price

thoughts on marketing

1. as u probably seen there is the invitation item on the benefits list, so if this works as gmail it will allow us to control the users status (keep them students or at least amateurs) and also promote the word-of -mouth promotion.

2. give a number of invitation to top academic tutors of the top film school in uk that will allow whoever is invited to jump directly to a higher user status

3. organize university events that again will give second level status to a certain number of attendants

4.stickers, tshirts, directors blocks and other below the line merchandise for promotion

about server

need revise

Technical concept
Based on lower budget and higher performance, useing available, mature technology and creating new programme to support the whole concept. to construct a comfortable and friendly circumstance that help user to gain more information, thus attract users as much as possible.

the concept, the points and the benefits

the concept:
Based on the notion that the site has to be owned by the user, all the content is controlled by the users. Whenever the user contributes to the community by either posting a comment on the forum or by uploading a tutorial or by submitting a subject info to the movie archive database he gets points that allow him among other things (benefits) more space to upload more or better quality movies or higher level of privileges for the forum. Also that way the site is self regulated by the user. The users are the ones to promote or bury the work, postings and articles of other users through their voting and their recommendations and links in their personal pages.

Gathering points:

Contribution to the forum (post, threads replies) 1pt

Contribution to the articles (tutorials, interviews, archive, articles) 30-65pt, 15-50pt, 8pt, 5-15pt

Voting for other users movies 1pt

Inviting new users 5pt

Benefits:

More space (mb)

More forum privileges

More competition vouchers

More invitations

More exposure
